Pollinator Festival - Puslinch, ON

June 15, 2024

Celebrate our pollinators, from flies, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and bats. They are crucial to our ecosystems' health and vital to a healthy food chain. The annual Pollinator Festival is a fun-filled day of walking tours and interaction at educational booths operated by volunteers from various environmental organizations. To support our essential pollinators, we want to promote the importance of gardening with native seed-sourced plants from the southern Ontario landscape.

At 1pm, don't miss the opportunity to join the renowned Root Rescue founder Bob Reeves as he delves into the fascinating world of mycorrhiza and plants as one of the featured Speakers on the walking tour.

Millions of years ago, a symbiotic relationship evolved between certain types of microscopic fungi (called Mycorrhizal Fungi) and plant life, allowing both to thrive. Learn how this partnership can improve plant success, mitigate climate change, and revive damaged urban soils.
